Please read these terms before using Summarly. By using the service you agree to them. These beta terms apply while Summarly is in public beta. They may be updated as the service develops.
Summarly is a plain-English document reading service. It uses AI to explain what messages, emails, letters and documents appear to say, and to flag possible warning signs. It is provided for informational purposes only.
Summarly is operated by Steven Matthews, trading as Summarly, United Kingdom.
Summarly is not a substitute for professional advice. It is not:
Summarly cannot confirm with certainty whether something is genuine, safe or fraudulent. Always verify important information independently and consult a qualified professional where appropriate.
Summarly is intended for general informational use. You may use Summarly to check messages, documents and correspondence for personal or general administrative purposes. During beta, Summarly should not be relied on as a professional, legal, financial, tax, compliance or fraud-detection service. Businesses may find the guides and tool useful for awareness, but important payment, legal, security or compliance decisions should be verified through proper internal processes and professional advice. You must not:
When you submit a message or document, you confirm that you have the right to submit it. Summarly does not store submitted content after analysis is complete. Please see our privacy policy for full details.
Do not submit documents containing sensitive personal data belonging to others — for example, someone else's medical records, financial statements or identification documents.
Summarly uses AI to generate explanations. AI systems can make mistakes. The output may be incomplete, inaccurate or misleading. You should not rely on Summarly's output as the sole basis for any important decision.
See our known limitations page for a plain-English description of what Summarly cannot reliably do.
Summarly is provided on a best-efforts basis during beta. We do not guarantee that the service will be available at all times or that it will be free from errors. We reserve the right to change, suspend or discontinue the service at any time without notice.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Summarly and Steven Matthews accept no liability for:

Summarly may make mistakes. It cannot confirm whether a message is definitely safe or definitely fraudulent. For a full description of known limitations, see the limitations page and the guide on what Summarly does and doesn't do with your messages.
